Introduction

This training material is a review on how to save templates and use with workflow.

Accessing the template


1.  Throughout NextGen, click on the save icon that looks like a floppy disk to open the template.  


Default Set Category


1. Category name will default depending on the location of that template. Example if wanting to save a template from the Reason of Visit the default set category name will be filed under HPI History of Present Illness).



Specialties Access


1. Select 'All Specialties' radio button if wanting to access saved template when using any specialty templates.

2. Select 'Current Specialty' radio button if wanting to access saved template when using the only specialty that user is currently on. 


Templates to Save


1.  Save all templates- this selection saves templates you have gone to in this visit, that default ready

2. Save Current Only- this selection is checked automatically when opening the template. 

3. Select Templates to Save-  click in the white box to display another template categories. 


Default set Name


1. Enter a name for the saved template. Make sure to add gender and age. After entry clicks the 'Add' button, then the template will drop to the bottom grid. 


HPI Quick Saves


1. This will display all the saved templates that users have saved for the category.

2. Highlight on the desired saved template and click either 'Update' or 'Remove' button. 

3. After entry click the 'Save & Close' button.


Using Saved Templates


1. When using the same HPI template, click on the loading button to display the saved template associated with selected HPI.

2. Highlight and click the 'Ok' button. Entry will populate on the template.

3. After entry click the 'Save & Close' button.
