POPE - Provider, Office (Location), Patient, and Encounter.
To ensure documentation is accurate it is best practice to perform a 4 point check before documenting on a patients chart in EHR. The 4 point check consists of verifying correct provider, office (location), patient, and encounter (date & time). This process ensures charts and charges are processed correctly.
Make sure you have the correct location and provider selected.
**Note: if switching to different provider, make sure you change the provider via the top toolbar. Just click on the drop down arrow to select the appropriate provider. **
Before opening the ‘Intake’ template make sure to select your encounter. Be sure the the encounter has your providers name and correct visit time and date.
