To enter a deceased patient, navigate to the patient information window in PM (practice management).

 

Check the ‘Expired’ box and enter the ‘Expired Date’.

Upon entering the data an angel indicator will be placed on the chart underneath the patients photo ID.

Patient will not show in any look-up screens, unless the ‘Exclude Expired Patient’ box is unchecked.


Patient expired will show on alerts when chart is open in PM or EHR.
